DRUM: noun \ˈdrəm\ METRIC: noun \ˈme-trik\
DRUMETRICS can be simply defined as a: Pulsating Measure
We try to create combining metric lines (op art) to coincide with a metric pulse (drums)
With our collection of vintage drums as our backbone, we engineer and record with rare vintage analog
equipment creating tones that have character.
Our Drumetrics Collective produces sounds & compositions that can be categorized as a harmonious blend of:
electronic, psychedelic, funk & cinematic music inspired by the 1960’s.
Drumetrics is the finished product of what MRR (Michael Raymond Russell) and WBB (William Benjamin Bensussen) began in 1999 as MHE, (Machines Have Emotions). MHE morphed into a collective called Dirtydrums that derived from sampling drum breaks off of vinyl. From there, this entity emerged as the duo of MRR-ADM who took the production to the next level by engineering and recording the sounds captivated as they did in the 1960’s & 70’s producing with old analog gear.
Now the core collective are:
MRR (Michael Raymond Russell)
ADB (Andrew David Barragan)
DRB (Danny Ray Barragan)
(Drumetrics) is a officially a library record label with a collective of artist inspired by European Library Music.
Composing a minimal sound production that is sampler friendly for Producers,Television & Movie Scores.
